After working for this company, I tried to leave reviews to help others not get roped into this “Multi level over priced publishing that doesn’t work”. After leaving reviews on Glassdoor and Indeed.....I think n2 pays them as they didn’t even get posted... This should be a BIG RED FLAG for any future employee "franchise owner"... Tell me me if I'm wrong N2 and you don't pay these sites???

Even my yelp review was removed as they said previous employees cannot leave reviews.... cough cough almost all the 5 star reviews on yelp are from current staff. lol

Don’t be fooled by the fake reviews online, I just heard n2 has people allocated to help get these reviews deleted to help n2 with its high turnover of Area Directors / Franchise owners. There is such a high turnover that some N2 magazine publishers are selling so cheap and some are even just giving them away to get out.

Before working for this company or becoming a franchisee, don't just chat to current Area Directors. Go to LinkedIn and FB and chat with "previous" Area directors / Franchise owners, there's plenty of them.

Don't just read all the negative business owners reviews on here. Call 5-10 current advertisers in a local magazine in your area and see if this a product you can sell and sleep at night.

N2 charged me $9000 a month to print a publication to one neighborhood. This means if and "if" you manage to sell $150,000 worth of advertising.... N2 pockets $108,000 and your left with 42k, this is before you have to pay your ad manager, gas, internet, cell phone bill and many other associated costs.

P.S Google it (there is now websites that put together, print and mail your magazine $3000).

Read your franchise disclosure carefully. It states that 220 Area directors / franchise owners only made 39k for the year... I wish I had never gotten involved and I feel sorry for anyone who advertisers and works for N2.

P.S Keep your frozen Cheese cake

Hope this helps others!

I have made $7,000-10,000+ a month for the past 6 years. It’s hard work but they are a caring group of people. I’m sorry you had a bad experience.

I've worked for this company for seven years and it's the best thing that's ever happened to me. My clients are happy, I'm happy.

I'm honest and ethical, as are they. If someone isn't successful, it most certainly is because of the person themselves.

So glad to came across this review, reached out to others as suggested and called a couple of advertisers for my curiosity. Oh no, I will be giving outfit a miss. Thanks

Hi there. Thank you for sharing your thoughts here, so we might have the opportunity to respond.

We can tell your opinion of us has already been made, but we’d like to take this chance to speak on a few things. Yes, we do pay Glassdoor and Indeed. We have a partnership with these sites to spread awareness of the Area Director opportunity via job postings. But it is strictly against their policies (and ours) for companies to remove authentic reviews.

To this extent, Indeed doesn’t allow the flagging of reviews on their site at all. We recognize that a sales position with no base salary can be challenging for those who aren’t geared for that kind of role. For some, a commission-based position is a perk, but we understand that is not the case for everyone. We are very clear and transparent in explaining these factors to people when interviewing with our company, so applicants know immediately whether they are a good fit or not.

You’re also right in that, each month, Area Directors are responsible for covering printing costs for their publications. However, we firmly believe that N2 offers the most affordable printing solutions for its products, even when comparing other services available online. N2’s production costs include far more than the services available through an online printer, such as: administrative services, publication layout and design, shipping services, client management support, etc. Plus, we provide internationally recognized training and support that allows our Area Directors to maximize their success and create the highest quality product in the industry.

This in turn frees the Area Director to focus on primary, income-generating responsibilities like establishing new client relationships and maintaining existing ones. These are services that N2 can provide at the most competitive price, due to our 15 years in business and the economies of scale that come with that. All in all, we believe that the N2 Area Director role is a great opportunity for the right person.

In that spirit, we cannot stress enough how much we regret your negative opinion of working with us. We wish you the best of luck as you continue on in your career, even though it's not with N2.

I knew you paid Glassdoor and indeed as they it’s not that they don’t remove negative reviews from your many disgruntled conned former employees.... they just don’t publish them.

(Probably a Lawsuit waiting to happen) As for your GlassDoor best place to work- Of course your going to get an award then to a company you pay. You must not pay as much as your competitor BVM as they rank higher.lol Obviously if they did publish all the reviews you would have a hard time attracting anyone and I would never of spent 3 years selling the worst product on the planet. I have now found I could have printed and mailed my own publications for $1600 with another company. But I see you just had another AD walk away from a pub as your advertising sales continue to decline and you don’t give 2 hoots about any of your Area Directors.

Im so glad I’m not with your N2 MLM publishing anymore and wish you the best of luck as obviously you have never had to look and advertiser in the eyes and ask for money when you know the advertising doesn’t work.

But good luck as your pubs continue to close down and your sales continue to decline. P.S Make sure you take care of your AD’s and you may not have to pay companies not to post honest reviews and you won’t have such a high turnover.

HOLY COW N2!!! First of all I didn’t believe this review, then I priced out my magazine to my neighborhood. It’s 4x cheaper than my N2 costs without ad Value.

You are a scam and awful.

I too too was looking working with this company starting next year, all I have to say is WOW, WOW!!! After searching and chatting to previous N2 Publishers, then finding out how this company really treats its sales people and how weak the product is.

Em yeah, I thinking I’m going to give this a miss. WOW!!

Thanks for sharing, this confirms my suspicions. I knew Glassdoor and Indeed reviews seemed fishy.

My girlfriend was looking at working for this company, the red flag for me was when the interviewer was reading of script while interviewing her over the phone. Looks like she dodged a bullet.

Agreed I would never ever recommend N2 to anyone, however N2 was great at showing you how to start a magazine and the basics of selling ads. The price is a lot cheaper online, I went ahead and just went ahead and got out of N2’s toxic call call call, sell sell sell culture and started my own publication, I go to approx 10,000 homes and pay about $3500/42k a year for full color.

Design and ad manager is cheap, I now make more money than I ever imagined just by cutting out N2 as a cost, my renewal rates are now 80% + because print works when you go to every 10,000 plus homes and not just one community.

I feel like N2 days are numbered, they dont have a great reputation in looking after Area Directors and with there current advertisers not renewing. Just recently they have lost several community magazines in my area while, yes they have a big problem retaininng AD’s Franchise owners.

I'd like to connect with you as I think the concept is great & 10,000 homes make sense.

Thank you for great idea and the heads up about calling current advertisors, I was looking at quite a few neighborhoods for my real estate company and I’m so glad I did this, you just saved me $$$ I stopped calling after 3 business all said there was no response from the ad.
